The North Brooklyn Camp Guide

Camp Gan Israel

Registration is open soon for Camp Gan Israel (Gan Chabad Preschool’s Summer Program) for summer. The program is for children ages 2 – 5. Activities include: Art, Hands on Science, Cooking, Yoga, Music, Soccer Stars, park time and outdoor water activities in a Jewish environment with very warm staff. All meals and snacks are provided. Camp is based in our large, bright and air conditioned preschool classrooms on Bedford & North 5th Street. Camp runs in June and July and there are flexible half day, full day and weekly sign up options.

Goose Grease House

Calling all young artists! Does your little artist want to get their hands on some really cool and interactive multimedia projects this summer? They’ll be fascinated by Goose Grease House’s unique summer workshops which feature tales of the historical and the fantastical, perfectly paired with an enriching art project. Sign up now since space is limited! Goose Grease House is a Brooklyn-based cultural learning center that blends art with history. Camp is offered Monday – Friday from 9AM – 3PM for ages 5-12.

JCC Brooklyn Summer Camp

The JCC Brooklyn Day Camp is a wonderful summer camp, located at the Fort Hamilton Army Base: a beautiful outdoor facility: 177-acre, country-like campus in Bay Ridge! This wonderful camp is for kids ages 4 to 14 and equipped with a highly trained, talented staff and small groups to allow individualized attention. Just some of the activities include swimming every day of the week, yoga, dance, drama, martial arts, arts & crafts, science, cooking, volleyball, theater and so much more. Age groups: 4-14.

Kids in the Game Summer Camp

Kids in the Game camp in Greenpoint is your one stop shop for the best urban day camp experience in the city! Campers (Pre-k4 thru 5th grade) rotate between sports, games, art, dance, STEM, while enjoying special events, theme weeks, field trips and swimming! There’s something for everyone at Kids in the Game and our staffs main mission is to be the best part of your kids day, every day! Located at The Post on the border of Williamsburg and Greenpoint. Camp is offered Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Drop off between 8:00 am -9:00 am.

Ms. J's Gymnastics Camp

Ms. J’s Gymnastics Camp is where structure meets fun. We offer small coach to student ratios. Our 10,000 sq ft facility is a great space for campers to keep their social distance. Our camp also has no minimum enrollment requirement. Parent may enroll for as little as one day. Camp is offered Monday to Friday from 9am-2pm for Ages 4yr-12yr. Extended day until 5pm is available for 6yr+.

The Play Lab Summer Camp

The Play Lab Summer Camp is an engaging and enriching first camper experience for your little ones. Safe and fun, The Play Lab Summer Camp is a half day camp specifically designed for children ages 2.5 to 4 years old. Taking place at our beautiful playspace in Greenpoint, campers will enjoy art, gym, music, sensory and dance classes while learning to socialize. Two or three day options available for campers.

Sprout Brooklyn Day Camp

Young Judaea Sprout Brooklyn Day Camp, located in Red Hook, is a Hebrew dual-language camp for children entering Pre-K through 5th grade. No previous Hebrew experience is necessary to be part of the Sprout Brooklyn community. Activities include swimming, robotics, sports, cooking, performing arts, visual arts and creative play, all interwoven with dynamic experiential Jewish programming and Hebrew. There is a bus from North Brooklyn to the campus.

The Terpsichore Project Summer Program

All classes will be led by Marissa Frey and Kristina Hay both experienced teachers and childcare professionals. Each day students will study classical Ballet technique, Modern/Contemporary class, Musical Theatre class, and Choreography/Composition class. There will also be Arts & Crafts and Free Time. Students will study the works and times of different dance works, artists, and composers throughout the world. They will create their own dance pieces inspired by works to be performed at the end of the program. In addition to dance classes Headpiece Making class led by costume designer Catherine Zehr will be on July 12, 14th, and 18th. Camp will be held at The Bar Method and Grind House in Williamsburg and is geared towards 5-7 year olds. Camp is July 11-July 29, Monday-Friday 9am-2pm.

Williamsburg CAMP

CAMP is a unique multi-disciplinary performing and visual arts summer day camp in a fun, safe, and hands-on setting. CAMP is owned and operated by local artists with many years and varieties of experience working with children in both public and private schools in and around New York City. CAMP uses progressive education methods to harness the power of children’s imagination and energy to transform the community and the world through art. The program is offered Monday – Friday from 8:30am to 3:00pm. Ages 4-12. Location is the newly renovated Williamsburg Opera House located at 288 Berry Street @ South 2nd in Williamsburg.

WR Arts

Join WR ARts for one or ALL of our summer days in session. With flexible enrollment options, payment plans, and incremental discounts WR Arts is ready to make this the BEST Performing Arts summer ever! Every week, WR Arts team of Teaching Artists and Staff will lead and work collaboratively with your child, creating a culminating presentation to be shared via video link.This summer’s themes are dance and theater based, with potential afternoon opportunities to craft and create in the late afternoon. Open to ages 4 – 10. Camp is Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm in July.
